This investment further strengthens what is already one of the UK's largest hire fleets of X-ray screening systems, while significantly expanding our fleet of walk-through metal detectors. Together, this gives our customers access to one of the most capable temporary security screening fleets available anywhere in the UK.

Before making this investment, we extensively evaluated a range of weapons detection technologies. Our decision was driven by one simple question: what is the real threat facing UK venues and events?
The UK's threat landscape is very different from many other countries. With strict firearms legislation, the primary concern for most venues is the detection of knives and other edged weapons. Many newer technologies have been developed around overseas threat profiles, where firearms are a far greater concern. For RedteQ, it was essential to invest in technology that delivers strong detection performance against the threats most likely to be encountered here in the UK.
Technology should always be selected to match the operational requirement, not simply because it's new.
