The technology
Real Raw Imaging, Not Avatars
Everything on earth naturally gives off a tiny amount of terahertz energy, and the human body gives off more than most objects. Thruvision's patented sensor reads that energy like a camera reads light. Anything concealed under clothing blocks the body's natural emission and appears as a clear dark shape on the live image, showing its true size, shape and location in real time.
Unlike the millimetre-wave archways found at airports, there is no synthetic mannequin and no guesswork: operators see the actual concealment on raw imagery and can make a fast, confident decision without a physical pat-down. And because the technology is entirely passive, receiving energy rather than transmitting it, there is nothing emitted at the person being screened.

81 Series — the Screening Workhorse
The 81 Series is Thruvision's latest-generation mobile screening platform: an integrated unit with touchscreen operator station and rugged wheels that deploys in minutes, indoors, wherever it's needed. Three camera models cover every requirement — the cost-effective 8104 for larger items, the high-performance 8108 for the widest range of operations, and the 8116 for the smallest items at the highest flow rates. Run it as SpotCHECK (deep random screening, up to 300 people/hr), WalkTHRU (up to 600/hr) or WalkTHRU Plus (free-walking lanes at up to 1,800/hr).
SmartSCREEN software adds automatic recording, people counting and privacy masking, while DynamicDETECT — Thruvision's Artificial Intelligence (AI) detection engine — automatically highlights concealed items on walking or stationary people, so operators never miss a quiet moment's concealment.
HTC — High-Throughput & Covert Capable
The HTC screens crowds the way CCTV watches them: mounted overhead or on a gantry, reading multiple lanes of free-walking people at up to 7 metres' distance, with no interruption to flow. It is optimised for mass-casualty threats — bomb vests, semi-automatic weapons, large bladed weapons and liquids — making it a powerful outer screening layer for transport hubs, concourses and event entrances. Deployed in pairs for front and rear coverage, and discreet enough to be hidden behind signage for fully covert operations.
Security screening
A Screening Layer Metal Detectors Can't Provide
A walk-through metal detector tells you metal is present. Thruvision shows you what is there and where, and sees the non-metallic threats an archway physically cannot: explosives, liquids and ceramic blades. Screening happens at distance, before a person reaches your pinch point, which keeps queues moving and keeps staff out of harm's way.
